Leah Patterson has been unlucky in love. She has been married three times. First was to Vinnie, the father of her son, VJ. He was arrested for a crime committed by his father, Ralph. It was long believed he had died, but it turned out he had survived, only to learn years later that he died. The second husband was to Dan Baker, who later left and died off-screen (like Vinnie) after falling off a cliff. Husband number three was Zac Maguire who cheated on her and she divorced. Well, now she’s up to husband number four with VJ surprisingly returning to walk his mother down the aisle a second time.
The last time we saw VJ was when he left Summer Bay with his stepdaughter, Luc, to escape her biological father, Mick, who wanted custody. He and Luc have been living in Cyprus with Luc’s uncle, Ash, ever since. Fast-forward almost a decade since we last saw VJ, and he popped up in the first promo for Leah and Justin’s wedding.
VJ is not the only family member returning. It’s been known for a while that Justin’s sister, Tori, would be coming back. Tori did not appear in the first promo for the wedding.
A Little Bit On Context
Also, the wedding will make the first time VJ and his cousin, Theo, have been in the same place at the same time. VJ has never mentioned Theo, but Theo has mentioned VJ at least once. Not to mention, Leah mentioned that when they were little boys, Theo greatly looked up to VJ.
We don’t know anything else outside of what was in the promo. So hopefully, there will be more as we get closer to the yearly wedding.
