The Bold And The Beautiful

US Return Date Set For The Bold And The Beautiful

US return date

July 20th is the US return date for The Bold and the Beautiful and there’s a lot to unpack so let’s go!

The Bold and the Beautiful finally has a US return date of July 20. Talk about exciting! However, don’t expect to see the new episodes straight away. There’s a bit of information we need to go over before dive into what anything brand new will have.

There will be episodes that were shot pre-lockdown but were never completed before now. According to TV Line, the first three episodes were filmed prior to the shutdown of production. So, which of these will air on the US release date? Let’s see, shall we?

The return episode will have the following:

Monday, July 20: Katie (Heather Tom) fills in Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) on how Quinn (Rena Sofer) sabotaged Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) reunion party. Then, Zoe (Kiara Barnes) and Carter discuss her whirlwind romance with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), how he was exposed for his manipulations and lies at their wedding, and how Hope (Annika Noelle) and Liam (Scott Clifton) were able to overcome everything and reunite. Finally, Zoe and Carter learn about Sally’s (Courtney Hope) illness and what Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Flo (Katrina Bowden) did when they found out. (This episode was filmed before the pandemic shut down production.)

What Does This New Info Tell Us About The Story?

Well, they’ve left no stone unturned from where the story was put on hold. The description has Katie reveal to Carter what Quinn did to sabotage the Bridge reunion so Ridge would have a fling with Shauna.

They’re also going to have Zoe talk about what happened with Thomas to Carter which should be interesting given the lawyer’s interest in her. Will she see the light and end up with him? Let’s hope so!

Now, let’s dive into the new information.

We’ve known for awhile that that Don Diamont and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood were the first actors to film new scenes. However, we didn’t know what these were until now. Turns out that Steffy ends up getting hit by Bill’s car and to no one’s surprise, she’s on her motorbike. Geez, this is just redoing the whole ‘Steffy was pregnant the first time and got into an accident and miscarried’ thing. Only this time, she’s not having a baby.

From we know now, Steffy ends up in hospital and it’s here that she meets her new love interest, Doctor John ‘Finn’ Finnegan. We didn’t mention this in our Zende recast post because it wasn’t relevant. Let’s hope it’s not a one-time thing like that Leo guy was.
