Tom Holland Goes Gangster In Instagram Tease Of New Film

Cherry

Have no fear Spidey fans! Tom Holland isn’t going anywhere. Over the weekend, the actor famous for bringing to life the MCU’s version of Spider-Man has broken his social media hiatus to tease his upcoming film, Cherry.

Cherry based off a biography by Nicholas “Nico” Walker, an Army Medic who suffers PTSD and becomes a bank robber. What’s more, is the real Nico is serving time in prison and is due to be released in November 2020.

The film is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed four films featuring Holland. Of course, the Russos are not the only Marvel staffers Holland has reunited with. The Billy Elliot performer provides the voice of Jip, a dog in Dolittle starring Robert Downey, Jr.

Let’s not forget that Holland also will join Chris Pratt in the Pixar movie, Onward where they play brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot. This movie looks too good! We were wondering when Pixar would do a movie with elves and magic! Tom doesn’t sound the same as he does in the MCU but we really don’t care! We’re just happy his doing a movie like this.

Holland will also voice the tech genius Walter in the animated film, Spies in Disguise. We like think of Walter as Alfred and Lucius Fox.

Seeing Tom as a gangster is like a massive slap in the face. However, it’s nice to see him in a role that we wouldn’t normally see him in. We love him and we cannot see how many more roles like this he will take on. Just give him a freaking Oscar already!
