The three lead stars of the upcoming Spider-Man 3 movie, Tom Holland (Peter Parker), Zendaya (MJ), and Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds) have each unveiled a different first look at the film along with three different titles… the hell is going on?

Before we continue, we’ll talk briefly about what we’re seeing in a separate post. Right now though, we’re just to touch of things that we think might is going on.

Holland posted this first look to Instagram:

The title he gives is Spider-Man: Phone Home this is a not real subtle nod to E.T.: The Extraterrestrial. Also, note the colour of the text. It’s a similar green that is used for Mysterio, Vulture, and Green Goblin in Marvel Comics.

Next up, Batalon posted this, also to Instagram:

The title Jacob gives is Spider-Man: Home-Wrecker. Is this a cop out for Peter ‘killing’ Mysterio in London? Also, the text is silver. Could this be a nod to Alfred Molina’s potential appearance as Doc Ock from the Tobey Maguire Spidey movies?

Finally, Zendaya, also via Instagram posted the following:

The title Zendaya gives is Spider-Man: Home Slice. While we don’t know it could mean for sure, it might be a nod to Jamie Foxx’s Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 given the colour scheme is a pink-purple although the character was blue.

It’s also a nod to Mysterio whose colour scheme is purple and the aforementioned green.

We’ve known for a while that the tremors from Peter being outed as Spider-Man in the post-credit scene from Far from Home is going to play a major part. Also, Doctor Strange is meant to be playing a role involving the multiverse. After all, WandaVision has been hinting at fractures appearing post-series.
