Starbucks at Home is the perfect brand to unwind during an evening of work…
Starbucks at Home has been around a while but it’s only now that we’ve had a chance to talk about it. Now, before we go on, we need to stress that this Coffee Spotlight post does NOT cover the whole range. There are only a select few here because we can’t get ahold of everything because of certain things like not being able to ground beans ourselves without the proper machine or the proper machine for certain pods.
We thought we’d buy a couple of bags of Starbucks at Home ground coffee, two tins of the different instants at Coles and see how it goes.
This post will be split into two sections; grounded coffee, and instant.

Please be advised that the blends mentioned in this post are NOT sponsored by Starbucks Australia and are part of the range found in Australia.
Grounded Coffee
The first Starbucks at Home we’re trying is the grounded coffee. Now, this is a whole new experience for us as we’ve only ever had instant from the brand.
House Blend – Medium Blend
So, how did we view the house blend medium blend? We like it though, if we’re honest, the coffee we made for this post, we added too much to the plunger as we used the wrong spoon.
It tastes just like the medium roast in the instant coffee which we’ll get to a bit later in our post. The bag said that there’s hints of toffee but we don’t taste it.
If you don’t make it correctly, it’s strong but not enough to give you a huge caffeine high. We rate this blend:
Find this blend at Coles Supermarkets in Australia.
House Blend – Dark Roast
The final brew on our list is the Home Blend – Dark Roast and of both ground blends, this one has to be our favourite. All you need is two tablespoons of grounds and it only needs a couple of minutes to brew. It tastes exactly as it says it does on the bag. Very Roasty indeed
We rate this blend:
Instant Coffee – Starbucks At Home
Medium Roast Premium
One of our favourite instant blends is the Medium. It’s very simple to make. All you do is add a teaspoon of powder to a mug and add hot water and stir. We don’t add milk in case it goes array. It’s up to you to determine if you want to add it or not.
However, the blend comes out a bit watery.
We rate this blend:
Dark Roast Premium
We’ve had the Starbucks at Home Dark Roast Premium instant blend before, but we’re retrying it for this post. It has a bolder taste than its Medium Roast counterpart. The strength is a little stronger too.
