Could there be a romance brewing between the future Icicle Junior and Stargirl? We break down our potential theory!
The upcoming episode of Stargirl Shiv Part One is going to be diving into Cindy Burman and her evolution into Shiv, the daughter of Dragon King. However, one of the promo pictures (our featured image) is what caught our eye. Could there be romance in the air for Courtney and Cameron?
We’re about to dive into this theory so get out your cosmic staff because it’s going to be a doozy!
Remind Us Again… Who Are The Mahkents?
The Mahkents are residents of Blue Valley. Jordan Mahkent is Icicle, a supervillain and the leader of the Injustice Society of America. He has a son, Cameron with his late wife, Christine who was exposed to some sort of toxin that eventually lead to her death.
Widowed, Jordan swore revenge on those who allowed his wife to be poisoned. While his parents, Sofus and Lily know of his powers, they also know of his plan for Project: New America. Meanwhile, Cameron is unaware of his father’s identity as Icicle and that he himself possesses the same abilities.
Despite his desire for revenge, Jordan is a relevantly kind man who has a tragic past. He listens to Barbara Whitmore’s ideas at work and befriends her and even compliments her on her family.
Jordan’s kindness transferred to Cameron who is seen to be kind to others despite keeping to himself. He gives Yolanda’s locker a makeover to cover over the graffiti and he is kind to Courtney when she introduces herself.
Small Appearances, Possibly Big Impact?
Cameron has only had a few small appearances here and there, but nothing significant happens until his proper introduction in the Icicle episode. However, even there he didn’t have much of a role.
Given his setup, it’s possible Cameron’s minimal appearances might become something much bigger later on. While there’s no episode dedicated to him this season, there might be next season.
Could he become a villain like he does in the comics? We don’t know what will happen with Cameron, but if his liking of Courtney manifests further, there might something bigger coming.
Cameron’s limited appearances don’t appear to be setting up a romance with Courtney, but if it were, it would be a massive departure from the comics.
For those who don’t know, Icicle Junior had a daughter with Artemis Crock (the daughter of Tigress and Sportsmaster) in the comics.
We also don’t know how more of a role Cameron is going to play going forward. We know Hunter Sansone (who plays the character) is part of the main cast though he hasn’t appeared a whole lot. There’s always an explanation behind this as it is a similar situation with Meg DeLacy who plays Cindy.
