Are there tensions between Prince Charles, his youngest son Harry and daughter-in-law, Meghan?
Since the beginning of the new year, Prince Harry and Meghan have come under fire for not including their fathers, Prince Charles and Thomas Markle in their ‘Letter to 2021’ for the landing page of their new endeavour, Archewell. They included photos of them with their mothers, but not their dads. Their note reads:
I am my mother’s son.
And I am our son’s mother.
Together we bring you Archewell.
We believe in the best of humanity.
Because we have seen the best of humanity.
We have experienced compassion and kindness,
From our mothers and strangers alike.
In the face of fear, struggle and pain,
It can be easy to lose sight of this.
Together, we can choose courage, healing, and connection.
Together, we can choose to put compassion in action.
We invite you to join us.
As we work to build a better world,
One act of compassion at a time.
Harry and Meghan – Archewell landing page
We know, of course, that Meghan is estranged from her father since before the 2018 royal wedding. But Harry and Charles have always been close to our knowledge, so why wasn’t he included on their website? Could it be because there’s tensions? Let’s jump into theory mode.
Estrangement Can Do Weird Things To Families
Meghan is no stranger to being estranged from people because she is not on speaking terms with any of her family except her mother, Doria. She hates her half-siblings, Thomas Junior and Samantha. So, what does this have to do with Prince Charles?
Well, here’s the thing. We don’t know what actually is going on. We’ve known for a couple of years that there’s been an alleged feud between Harry and big brother William. Or there’s one going on between Meghan and Catherine. We’re willing to bet both are going on.
Anyway, while this has not been mentioned by anyone, we thought we would bring it up. Could there be an estrangement between Harry and Charles?
We’re honestly not sure. Perhaps Harry and Meghan thought it wouldn’t be fair if Charles was featured on their site and not Thomas. Why include someone you’re not even talking to? No matter what they could’ve spun it, they were to going to be called out either way.
To be honest, we don’t really care. We’re not going to follow Archewell unless we really have to. It’s not in our interest.
