Retrospective: Almost A Year On Since The Oprah Interview, I STILL Have THOUGHTS And Opinions

Oprah Interview

In just over a month, it will have been a year since that god awful Oprah Interview aired where Harry and Meghan, or rather, the Duchess of Sussex, tried to paint her in-laws, the British Royal Family, as a bunch of cruel, cold, racists who trapped her in a gilded cage. Oh, no, wait. I got that wrong. She was more like Ariel from The Little Mermaid, who lost her voice to an evil sea witch. The interview sparked what can only be described as a smear campaign to shut down the monarchy.

However, many of the Sussexes’ so-called truths were nothing but big fat lies or blown out of context. I felt sick watching it, knowing I could debunk much of what they were saying, as I had reported on it for the blog or read about it in the news. I’ve written about it so much that I have a whole tag dedicated to the Oprah Interview.

From Meghan’s twisting the truth about Camilla Tominey’s breaking new story of her making Catherine cry to Harry whinging about his father cutting him off financially, the whole “woke is us, pity us!” narrative made our heads spin. I had thoughts then, and they haven’t changed eleven months later. Well, okay, I lied. My opinion has shifted on one of the points they spoke about; Meghan’s claim she was suicidal while pregnant with Archie is utter bollocks.

I Refuse To Be Pressured

I’m not apologising for my opinion. I refuse to bend to a woman who ghosts, and therefore, dumps people when they no longer fulfil her requirements of usefulness. If she had mental health issues, she would’ve said something. After all, she claims she’s a “strong, independent woman.” I doubt she is, and I’m not afraid to say it. After all, if she is such a fearless person, why did she dump her first husband, Trevor Engelson, by mailing her wedding and engagement rings back to him via FedEx? Why not tell him in person the marriage was over? This, to me, is not a strong woman. Ultimately, this is a two-bit narcissist looking to upgrade to someone who will feed her ammunition.

Then, along came Harry. Starry-eyed H, who was looking to replace his late mother. He wanted a woman who had “attributes” which matched Diana. Since Catherine was taken – and I’m NOT saying he wanted to be with his sister-in-law – he wanted someone who would pat him on the head and call him a “good boy.” Instead, he’s stuck in a marriage, where he looks totally miserable. I don’t think it’s the kids that are making him tired. Having a high-maintenance spouse would stress anyone out.

This is no different to how the press claimed that Meghan and Eugenie were friendly when they were pregnant. Thinking back on it, I have more reason to believe it’s true

The Oprah Interview Shows How Oprah Favours Friendship Over Ethics

Gayle King, Oprah’s best friend, bragged that the Sussex interview was the best the former talk show host had ever done. However, when people watched it, millions saw through the lies, just as I did. She didn’t fact-check anything. Apparently, she made the claim later that since it was just a “chat,” she didn’t bother. However, things took an even larger twist when she deleted 99.8% of references to the interview from her social media channels. Also, the interview is no longer online. This, therefore, means that she has cut ties with Harry and Meghan. They played her for a fool with their lies. I’m not the only person who has said. Others have said the same.

Though, Summer Sherberry on Twitter posted this video of Oprah saying that no one should be questioning the Sussexes.

Oprah dug her own grave the second she accepted an invite to that wedding in 2018. She built up a friendship with Harry and Meghan and allegedly Doria at this time to get their trust. Now, she’s allegedly dumped them due to their inability to accept responsibility and tell the truth about anything. Oh, wait a moment. Doesn’t she have a mantra? Wasn’t it, “Your truth, not THE truth?” Also, let’s not forget that anything that is recorded either by a camera or a microphone can be used as evidence.

Not to mention, Oprah’s credibility as a journalist and interviewer went down the drain, the second people started debunking the lies. She is supposed to be one of the best. Her other interviews in 2021 weren’t as universally covered as the Sussexes’ interview.

I have a load more thoughts on the Oprah interview which I will share when the one-year anniversary rolls around next month.
