Maleficent Goes On The War Path In New Trailer For Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil

Maleficent

Maleficent and Aurora are back in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning return for another magical adventure in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. This time, we see the evil fairy’s devious side emerge as she attempts to protect her fairy goddaughter Aurora from heartbreak.

We see Philip propose to Aurora, and she accepts, which doesn’t bode well with Maleficent after Diaval tells her. It certainly ruined her morning, that’s for sure!

We can understand why the wicked fairy would be against the engagement. Aurora’s father, Stefan, broke her heart years ago, and she doesn’t want his daughter to suffer the same fate. What we love about Maleficent and Aurora’s relationship is the wicked fairy still calls the princess ‘Beastie’ as she did when she was young.

Maleficent Still Knows How To Create Major Enemies

As the horned fairy attempts to talk the Queen-to-be around, it doesn’t work, and Maleficent goes to see her goddaughter’s soon-to-be in-laws, one of whom is Michelle Pfeiffer’s Queen Ingrith, Philip’s mother.

Ingrith attempts to turn Aurora against her fairy godmother by telling her that the fairy is a threat. The princess doesn’t know what to believe as Maleficent has been a mother figure to her for the last five years. Let the bitterness and arguments begin!

Aurora’s godmother ultimately unleashes hell on the queen and her forces trying to take her down. And yep, there are plenty of green glowing eyes! We’re getting Descendants vibes!

Anyway, we see both ladies throwing their weights around as they fight over what Aurora’s fate will be. Will she continue being Queen of the Moors or will she become Philip’s Queen? We don’t know know much else. Maybe the prince dies when Maleficent attacks the royal family. Who knows at this point.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil soars into cinemas in October. If you haven’t see the trailer or want to watch it again, its below!
