RIP Lance Reddick

Lance

We did not expect to write a post today but felt we had to do it. Lance Reddick, the actor slated to assume the role of Zeus in the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, has passed aged 60. We announced Lance’s casting, along with that of Toby Stephens, as one of his brothers, Poseidon, a couple of months ago. Now, we’re saying goodbye to Lance.

The announcement came through People magazine, which said that Reddick was found deceased at his home of natural causes. Furthermore, we don’t know exactly what this means, as he could’ve died of anything. If an autopsy is performed, we’ll let you know.

Lance’s Other Roles

Lance wasn’t just known for his upcoming role as Zeus. He was known for his roles in The Wire, the Netflix series Resident Evil and Law and Order: Criminal Intent. Also, Lance was known for his role as Charon in the John Wick films. Moreover, he was in the middle of a press tour for John Wick 4 when he passed.

Moreover, He is survived by his wife, Stephanie, daughter Yvonne, and son Christopher.

Upon his death, fans and former castmates, including Ben Stiller, put up statements of condolence. Furthermore, Ben’s late mother, Anne Meara, worked with Lance on a play called Afterplay.

Sending Our Love To The Reddick Family

Finally, Lance had several projects in post-production outside of Percy Jackson. He was due to reprise his role as Charon in the John Wick spin-off, Ballerina, and the reboot of White Men Can’t Jump.

In conclusion, we send our deepest condolences to Stephanie and his children at this difficult time. Lance was a fantastic actor, and his talent was endless. Fly now, Lance. Be free.
