How Did Tula Die In Young Justice?

Tula, Young Justice

Who remembers Tula from the first season of Young Justice? Some people might. After her first appearance, where she has speaking lines, she appears as a hologram afterwards. Why is that? Well, during the five years between the first two seasons, Tula is killed in action.

While Tula’s death was mentioned after the fact, it was never said how it happened. However, the video game Young Justice: Legacy reveals how she died. She is killed defending her friends in Bialya, where she became powerless to stop Klarion the Witch Boy and his familiar Teekl from stealing the Tablet of Destiny.

Kaldur And Dick Form A Plan After Tula’s Death

It wasn’t a secret that Kaldur’ahm had been in love with Tula. However, he was secretly devastated that she chose his best friend, Garth, in his absence. Tula’s death hit Kaldur hard. Dick Grayson, who had taken up the mantle of Nightwing, was able to use Tula’s death in the investigation against the organisation run by Kaldur’s biological father, Black Manta.

Kaldur, who was still on good terms with Dick, agreed to his plan. He even took it further by going undercover, pretending to side with Black Manta. His ‘betrayal’ upset his former teammates. Dick also had to keep up the pretence that he hated what Kaldur had done while knowing what he was doing.

Also, when Dick went to resign from The Team after the death of Wally West, Kaldur rebuffed his resignation, showing how much he trusted him to do the right thing. However, he did agree to allow Nightwing to have a short leave of absence to centre himself after everything that happened.
