The Bold And The Beautiful

Did Carter Remind Grace Of Reese?

Reese

After some time away, Grace Buckingham has returned to The Bold and the Beautiful. She is revealed to be a heart specialist now tending to Katie Logan. What she did not expect when the youngest Logan arrived for her appointment was to see Carter Walton, the ex-partner of both her daughters, Zoe and Paris. It’s not like he’s Reese Buckingham or Bill Spencer.

We know that when Grace showed up in Los Angeles, she was not happy to meet Carter in person. Zoe had told her about him and how he “broke her heart.” However, Zoe failed to share that she tried to marry Carter and then kept Zende on the sidelines in case her relationship with Carter fell apart. Moreover, she didn’t want Paris to be with Zende.

Grace And Her Carter/Paris Overreaction

Whether Grace is aware of what Zoe did, is beside the point. The point is whether she overreacted about Paris being with Carter because he reminded her of her ex-husband. Carter is not Reese. Not by a long shot. He’s not in it for money and doesn’t use people. All he ever wanted was a wife and kids. But, unfortunately, Zoe plays him, and he rushed into his relationship with Paris too quickly as he knows he can’t have Quinn, who was married to Eric at the time.

As far as Grace was concerned, Carter was a womaniser. It didn’t matter how many times she was told he wasn’t. But, of course, the audience knows that unlucky in love Carter isn’t that type of guy. He has started romancing Katie, but they’re not an official item. Not yet, at least. They won’t be if Dollar Bill has anything to do with it.

If Grace had gotten to know Carter, she would’ve seen that he was not the guy Zoe was making him out to be. So when her eldest daughter told her about Carter breaking her heart, Reese was probably the first person Grace thought of.

Reese Cared About The Money More Than Anyone

Despite Reese’s short time on the show, it was apparent from the beginning that he would leave a trail of destruction in his wake. He stole newborn Beth Spencer while her mother, Hope, was unconscious and handed her a stillborn baby, making it out to be Beth.

For months, Hope and Liam grieved the death of their daughter, utterly unaware that Steffy Forrester was raising Beth as Phoebe Forrester II. Reese had sold Beth for a quarter of a million dollars to clear his gambling debts. Then, before he could be arrested, he fled to England, where the police caught up with him after the truth came out, thanks to Douglas Forrester.

Carter could not care less about the money. Yes, he is an accomplished lawyer and COO of Forrester Creations, but he worked hard to get there. He also would never pull the same horrible stunts Reese did.

While Grace had every reason to worry about her daughters, she became obsessed with stopping something beyond her control. Paris was going to marry Carter regardless of what her mother told her.
