Can The Royal Reporters STOP Saying (Or Implying) That The Cambridges Are In Favour Of Colonialism And Are Snubbing The Sussexes?

Concealing

Royal journalism is often a cesspool of woke individuals – Prince William and his wife, Catherine, are the embodiment of service. They don’t complain and refuse to bow down to public pressure to do unnecessary things. But unfortunately, in recent times, so-called royal reporters have been jumping on the woke train of concealing the truth. It’s not just Omid Scobie doing this. It’s a bunch of others who twisted elements of the Cambridges’ Caribbean tour to make it look like they favoured colonialism and racism.

People are also latching onto the thought that the Cambridges snubbed Harry and Meghan during their UK visit.

Concealing The Truth On The Caribbean Tour

Let’s begin with the Cambridges’ Caribbean tour and how the drama started.

Soccer Pitch Fiasco

A few weeks ago, William and Catherine embarked on an eight-day tour of the Caribbean as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. However, royal reporters were slamming them for whatever they could the entire time.

The whole negative PR started when protests started in an area of Belize, which was their first stop. However, it turned out that some of the residents of Indian Creek, a village in southern Belize, were upset because the helicopter carrying the royal couple was going to land on their soccer pitch, and they weren’t told beforehand, according to Jose Sanchez of Reuters.

Now, what is the keyword we used? If you say “some”, you’d get full marks. Don’t assume your entire village or country thinks the way you do. Moreover, this brings us to the royal reporters concealing the truth. They made the protests about colonialism and continued with the narrative throughout the tour when it had nothing to do with it.

The Cambridges were forced to scrap that part of the tour, which upset the people who wanted them there. One man wanted to give them a painting he had done of their wedding day kiss.

Behind A Fence, Not In Cages

What’s more, Omid Scobie fueled the flames for royal reports to jump on the “people in cages” narrative during the Jamaica leg of the tour. So, there were pictures taken of the Cambridges shaking people’s hands through a chainlink fence. The media made it look like the people were in cages; in reality, they were behind a fence of a soccer pitch.

However, what Omid had done was cropped the photos to make it appear negative. Also, it later emerged that a soccer player named Raheem Sterling had also shaken hands with people behind the fence. Sterling was present on tour with the Cambridges. So, according to the undertones of the royal journalists, it was racist of William and Catherine to shake the hands of the people because they were white. However, it’s okay for Raheem to do it because he’s black. So, okay, we’re not sure how that works.

The Range Rover Outcry

After their awkward encounter with the Jamaican prime minister, who didn’t mince his words about his nation becoming a Republic, the Cambridges faced more backlash from the media. So before they left the country, they rode in the back of an old Land Rover, which was reported as tone-deaf as the palace had arranged it.

However, it emerged that it wasn’t the palace that had set up the Land Rover ride. The Jamaicans, allegedly, set up as a homage to the Queen and Prince Philip during two tours they did to the country in the early 1960s and again in the early 1990s.

It was also reported that it was the same car that Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh rode in.

Concealing The Truth About The Slave Trade

Another massive sticking point the royal reporters were trying to force was the whole slave trade story and how Her Majesty The Queen should be forced to apologise for something that happened over two hundred years ago.

However, had the media done their research and not been concealing the truth, it has come out that Prince Albert, the consort of Queen Victoria, apologised for the slavery, which the Jamaica Observer referenced.

William did a speech about it but didn’t outright apologise, and nor should he. The slave trade of yesteryear has nothing to do with the current royal family. Also, who wants to apologise for everything that one’s ancestors might or might not have participated in centuries ago? If it had happened fifty years ago, sure. Apologise.

A similar happened when former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd apologised to the Aboriginal people for the days of the stolen generation. He became the only Australian Prime Minister to do this. However, the stolen generation is recent history, whereas the slave trade is not.

One apology will never be good enough for the people demanding someone to do this. It’s not like there’s a time machine William could’ve entered and stopped it from happening. The whole reason we have history is to learn not to repeat the mistakes of the past.

The Cambridges Were NOT Snubbing The Sussexes

To finish this post, we wanted to go over the claims people have made that the Cambridges snubbed the Sussexes when the hapless duo showed up in the UK unannounced. So, for those who want to jump on that bandwagon, we suggest you stop and listen to what we have to say first.

William, Catherine, and their three children were in the French Alps, as reported by Alyssa Bailey of Elle Magazine. This is a trip that was on their calendar months in advance. It has been reported that they were told about Harry and Meghan’s not-so-secret visit to see the Queen.

Do we believe William and Catherine wanted to see the couple? Unclear. Since they were pushed under the bus by Harry and Meghan on several occasions, we’d say they would be wary of what they said in case they recorded without their knowledge.
