The Force Awokened: How The Woke Won’t Silence True Journalism

The woke crowd is trying to shut down true and honest journalism…

What does it mean to be a true and honest journalist? A lot of grit and determination. As cliché as that might seem, it is very much true. But, what happens when the woke crowd of those who believe the world should only have a single opinion tries to rule the roost? We fight back with facts. Having been on the receiving end of tweets calling us tone-deaf for “not understanding the situation”, the struggle to keep a level head is real.

In recent months, we’ve been doing nothing but reporting on the never-ending drama with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. These two leeches have entered the crowd of woke by attempting to silence their critics. Longtime journalist, Piers Morgan, who is a fault-finder of the former actress, was told by his employer to either be quiet or quit. However, this came after the interview with Oprah Winfrey where the ex-royals trashed the British Royal Family.

Markle, who was once a blogger with The Tig, seems to have forgotten that lies can be debunked. Look at the falsehoods she told during the Oprah interview. She said she never looked her husband or his family up online. She quite literally mentioned her now-sister-in-law, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, and father-in-law, Prince Charles. However, did she forget that she ran a website with incriminating evidence? We’ve used the information to untangle her web of deceit.

As the conflict between the royals and the woke Sussexes continues, non-journalists like our friend Sue Smith on YouTube have made it their mission to promote the truth. Sue came to our attention via her Oprah interview debunking videos. Also, She doesn’t hold back with her opinion and shows evidence to what she’s saying.

In The Media

The culture of woke doesn’t just exist online. It inhabits the world like an invisible and unspoken about plague that simply won’t go away. This is what the likes of the aforementioned Piers Morgan, television personality Sharon Osbourne and Dan Wootton are trying to fight against.

Mrs. Osbourne who is the wife of rock god, Ozzy Osbourne and a panelist on the talk show, The Talk was fired from her position after standing up for Piers, whom she says has a right to his opinion, according to Deadline. While she is not only is she correct, she defended him when co-panelist, Sheryl Underwood claimed that he was racist.

Sharon, who has always been outspoken, questioned Underwood about whether she had ever heard Piers say anything racist. Sheryl couldn’t cough up one example and spluttered that he implied ‘racist undertones’ as a poor attempt to cover herself. Later, she was interviewed and she claimed to have ‘PSTD’ from the experience as per news.com.au. Moreover, this is her way of making herself the victim.

Dan Wootton, who is now a journalist for the Daily Mail, wrote for the publication he now works for that he was a presenter on a television program and was told to say nice things about the Sussexes by producers. He, much like us, believes in honest journalism and refused to report on something that wasn’t true. He quit in November 2019 in protest after ten years of working with them. This is similar to what Piers Morgan did when he was asked to do the same thing. However, there is a difference. Meghan Markle herself sent ITV a personal complaint.

Woke Crowd Loves To Try And Cancel People For Fun

This next part doesn’t have much to with the art of journalism, but it does expose the woke crowd for the type of people they are. You’ve probably heard of cancel culture. It’s a rotten, dirty thing that prompts people to lose their jobs unnecessarily. Look at what happened with The Flash actor, Hartley Sawyer as an example.

For those who aren’t aware, Hartley Sawyer was fired from The Flash after old misogynistic tweets from almost a decade ago resurfaced. For about a week, nothing was reported. But, then came the announcement that he’d been let go, leaving the writers to scramble to write him out of the show. The showrunner, Eric Wallace, and the series lead, Grant Gustin made their stances on the situation very clear; the guy had to be fired. None of this would’ve happened if woke people with nothing to do hadn’t gone snooping.

Though, the same applies to what is currently going on with Candice Patton, who is the lead female on the same show. The woke crowd have dug into her tweets and found ones from 2012 that imply she wanted someone to kill themselves. If she doesn’t get fired, then the audience will call The CW out for hypocrisy after what happened with Sawyer. Now, the situations are totally different but we think that racist fans are behind this one.

The reason we think this is because, for years, speculation has arisen that Candice and co-star Danielle Panabaker don’t get along. We’ve reported on this and got bombarded by people on Twitter saying that we were ‘tone deaf’.

What Is The Point Of Trying To Cancel Someone?

Now, we need to ask; what is the point of trying to cancel somebody? Though, what does it achieve? Is it some sort of personal satisfaction because of…what exactly? We have reason to believe that along with the racist The Flash fans, there is a likelihood that some of the SnowBarry fans wanted Candice Patton gone so Barry could be written to be with Caitlin. Yeah, that’s not going to happen. Eric Wallace won’t allow this. Now, we’re not saying all SnowBarry fans are horrible towards Iris. We see the same level of hatred from many WestAllen fans regarding Caitlin.

Most SnowBarry fans have never read the comics or seen animated shows like Young Justice where Barry is married to Iris.

This a trait we see all the time from toxic fans. They don’t like a certain change to something and then try to correct it by having an actor ‘cancelled’ by digging up dirt. While we do believe in accountability, if there’s little to no evidence, then it should be put to rest. Look at what happened with Ray Fisher. We believe that he’s just pissed off because he didn’t get the screentime he wanted in Justice League. Do we think the abuse happened? Yes, but we don’t think Jon Berg or Geoff Johns had anything to do with it. Joss Whedon has always been a sore spot for people. If Johns had done something then he wouldn’t have been allowed to continue producing Stargirl.

Fisher claims he has proof, but so far, he hasn’t provided it. Also, he failed to do his research because the head of DC Films, Walter Hamada didn’t take over until January 2018 after Justice League had come out and underperformed. Moreover, he had no association with the film at all.

The Woke Crowd Should Not Have A Platform

People like the Sussexes and the people like the horrible fans who troll and try to cancel celebrities should not have a platform. It doesn’t matter if it’s social media or through someone else’s medium like a podcast or a radio show. All forms of Journalism are meant to be a force for good, of change. But, by challenging what has existed for years, you’re only sowing the seeds of contempt. You’re bringing bitter individuals who believe they’ve been wronged out of the woodwork or better yet, the keyboard warriors.

There is no such thing as a utopia. Moreover, rules are meant to be followed and should only be broken when a line is crossed. Journalism was invented to expose the truth, not to invent stories for the sole purpose of ruining people’s lives. Furthermore, look at how Rebel Wilson sued Bauer Media who once owned New Idea magazine (as per Lexology).

For her, it’s was never about the money. Her goal was to expose the dirty tactics tabloids go to in order to sell magazines. It was because of the stories printed about her that she lost movie roles.

Finally, the reason most people have trouble trusting the media is because of the tabloids. They are a menace that should be ignored. The ‘reporters’ who write these so-called ‘exclusives’ aren’t true journalists. In conclusion, they were hired to be creative writers and to invent any piece of information they can just to sell magazines. The audience, a lot of the time, believes what is written.
