Cancel Culture

The Underlying Effect Wokeness Has On Social Media

What is the first thought that comes to mind when you think of “cancel culture”? Is it influencers on YouTube being called out for inappropriate behaviour? Is it celebrities misbehaving and the incident trends on social media? Furthermore, truth is, it can be anything. It takes the fun out of being online. People believe in political correctness. For example, the nursery rhythm Baa Baa Black Sheep was changed because “Black Sheep” was deemed defamatory.

A massive effect of wokeness is that on social media, especially on Twitter, your voice is drowned out by the woke. One example is the neverending conversations about Meghan Markle. In the eyes of her followers, if you don’t like her and call out her character as disrespectful, you’re deemed a racist. It doesn’t matter if there’s proof or not. You either share an opinion, or you’re a disgusting bigot.

It’s the same with the garbage going on with Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. We’ve covered that Ms. Heard sees herself as a victim when she isn’t, and there’s evidence to back up that she was the abuser and not the victim. The same narrative applies to Jussie Smollett who faked a hate crime. These people think they are better than those who put in the work. Many woke individuals are class-A narcissists who believe they’re right about everything. They don’t care who they put down. If they put done their family or their friends, so be it. This is their way of controlling the lives of those around them.

Having these types of people on every social media platform makes it difficult to build a brand that differs from their viewpoint.

Social Media And The Original Purpose

In the early days of social media, which is pre-Facebook and Twitter, people connected with friends and family. However, to spend the message of various political messaging, social media expanded to all industries, and this is whole Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram took off.

Furthermore, the more people interact, it leads to a hidden dishevel. That discontent grew to noise before it became screaming. Finally, that screaming became violence. It has been that way ever since. The woke use it to tear down and vilify those who disagree. Moreover, they threaten people with doxxing, or better yet, they go through with it.

Race Now Plays A Part In Social Media Account Shutdowns

Having seen the impact woke culture has had on many social media users who dislike Meghan Markle, we can see that the woke (also known as her rabid followers) will use race as an excuse to hide behind getting people shut out of their accounts. We’ve seen people who were only voicing their opinions get shut down. Some were issued with IP bans on Twitter, which means they cannot return to the site.

The woke have continued to sow their lies and propaganda to the wind with a lot of media organisations picking up on it and reporting a report done by a scam artist businessman on so-called hate accounts as fact. These types of individuals think that if they can get into the news, they don’t need to take accountability for their actions.

Race does not validate you from doing something wrong. Everyone is prone to missteps and misjudgements. Yes, everyone says things, but hate is okay on social media. So, if something says something like they don’t Meghan Markle, they get reported and then shut down. However, if someone threatens to kill the Queen, they’re allowed to stay up and continue their train of hatred.
