The Eerie Resemblance: First Look At Kristen Stewart As Princess Diana

Diana

There’s another film on Princess Diana headed our way. This time it stars Kristen Stewart…

Not many actresses have been able to play Princess Diana to perfection. The latest portrayal is the current season of The Crown where Diana is portrayed by Emma Corrin. Naomi Watts has even played her.

Now, there’s a new film entitled ‘Spencer’ on its way which will star Twilight alumni, Kristen Stewart. The film will centre on three days in the 1990s centring on the late royal mother-of-two, according to Town and Country Magazine.

Here’s the first photo of Stewart as Princess Diana:

The film’s director Pablo Larraín is no stranger to biographical films. He is the man behind Natalie Portman’s Oscar-nominated performance as Jackie Kennedy in Jackie.

At the time, the filmmaker wasn’t known for directing biographic films.

The resemblances the late Princess Diana and Kristen Stewart is uncanny. We had to do a double take!

According to Stewart in an interview she did with Jimmy Kimmel, the film will not depict Diana’s tragic death. She also said the movie will not include new information and it would show the moments in which the princess realises her marriage to husband Prince Charles is over. It will also dive into the deep love she had for her sons, William and Harry.

In conclusion, the plot will revolve around Diana as she goes on a journey of self-discovery and how she found strength in some of the darkest times of her life. It is also teased that the film will focus on her desire to the person she was before her marriage to Charles upended her life.

Spencer has just gone into production but a release date is currently unclear.
