Princess Beatrice Is Now A Countess!

private wedding

A hearty congratulations to Princess Beatrice of York and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi who have married in a private wedding this weekend.

Another royal wedding has taken place but it was not the grand event of the year and that’s perfectly okay. Princess Beatrice of York married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a private wedding over the weekend.

The private wedding abided by the restrictions enforced for COVID-19 which allows for only 20 people. The Queen and Prince Philip were in attendance while Prince Andrew, the bride’s father escorted her down the aisle.

Edo’s four-year-old son, Christopher “Wolfie” played the role of best man and page boy. The count and princess’ union makes Beatrice the first princess in Queen Elizabeth’s family in modern times to become a step-parent.

Bea wore the Queen Mary Fringe tiara, the same headpiece her grandmother, The Queen sported when she married Prince Philip. Beatrice’s wedding dress was also a nod to Her Majesty as it was one of the many gowns the monarch donned in her younger years. Sleeves were added to the ensemble.

Through her marriage, Princess Beatrice is now a countess as her new husband is a count, though it is currently unknown whether she will publicly use her new title.

We can only imagine who else attended the wedding. Bea’s sister, Eugenie and her husband Jack were likely there along with Edo’s parents, sister and brother. We also can’t forget Fergie would’ve been there for her daughter’s big day. Only close family were there so Harry and Meghan wouldn’t have been there as they’re in California.

We have come to love Bea and Edo and we wish them all the happiness in the world. They have never let the events that have transpired earlier in the year get in the way of their future. We applaud that.
