Home And Away Production To Commence!

commence

Great news has come out about Home and Away’s production!

Filming will commence on Home and Away on May 25 Back to the Bay reports. After two months off as a precaution to the current COVID-19 crisis, the beloved series will turn to shooting studio scenes only. Anything filmed at the beach is still suspended until further notice.

This is excellent news since the rival soap opera Neighbours has already resumed filming with restrictions to ensure that any form of contact is limited.

Back to the Bay revealed in their article that scripts have been reworked to ensure limited contact. Also, the cast has taken to doing rehearsals via Zoom as they wait to commence filming. It should also be noted that production will be closely monitored with temperatures taken upon arrival.

Running Out Of Episodes?

Before anyone asks, we’re not at risk of running out of episodes as the show films six months in advance, so with production about to commence again, we should see anything filmed from May 25, either late this year or early in the new year. We know everything with episodes is fine, as Channel 7 is back to showing five episodes a week, with a triple episode on Thursday. UK viewers are now back to five episodes a week as well.

We could not be more thrilled that things are finally returning to a sense of normalcy. If there is any changes, we will be sure to keep you all informed. We cannot wait to see what these altered precautions bring to the screen.

For now, though, we can sit back and enjoy the show as it returns to normal. Bring on the drama, is all we can say! Also, bring back some old favourites for a visit! We’ll talk about that more in another post!

Update! There is a scheduling update. The Bold and the Beautiful had to enforce restrictions. We also reported on the post-COVID episodes.
