Why Can’t Other Australian States Follow The New South Wales Method Of Handling The Coronavirus Outbreak?

In Victoria, the current COVID-19 Outbreak is the end of the world.

Alex Bruce-Smith for Pedestrian TV is reporting that Victoria is now in lockdown mode again. What we don’t understand is why the people living in the state are complaining. We understand WHY the Victorian government is doing it, but it is totally unnecessary. Why couldn’t the Victorian government do what New South Wales is doing in the way they’re handling it?

We live in NSW, and if we have half a dozen cases, our government doesn’t order a lockdown. They get on top of it thanks to the QR Codes. The only time a shutdown is ordered is if the situation is out of control. However, there have been times, when everything hasn’t been fine.

2020 was like living in a never-ending hell for the entire world with millions of people infected with the deadly worldwide bug. Just as many people have died from it and still are. Look at the dire situation in India right now, as seen on ABC. Products in supermarkets are being also limited.

If Victoria and the other states had followed New South Wales’ way of handling the outbreak then people wouldn’t be complaining. Look at what happened in Western Australia last year. They locked down their borders to everyone last year for a vast majority of it.

We’re just hoping that there’s not another #ToiletPaperGate type of situation involved. That would not only suck, but it would show how self-interested people are. Sure, there are people who do the right thing and share their supplies with elderly neighbours, friends, and relatives and those who can’t afford it. But whatever happened to the compassion people displayed during the bushfires in late 2019-early 2020?

What Is Happening With Victoria

Was that just a fluke? Seeing people be horrible to each other should be what this outbreak is known for. It should be seen for handling the situation in the right way. Get it together, Victoria. Also, the supermarkets are being opened for the elderly and vulnerable at an earlier time in NSW.
