Pro-Sussex Journalist Called Out For Dodgy Journalistic Ethics

It was only a matter of time before Harry and Meghan’s media groupies started falling on their swords – A story from May 2021 has resurfaced regarding Ellie Hall, a reporter for Buzzfeed News. We haven’t paid too much attention to her antics. Nor have we written about her all that much. Or at all. She came onto our radar when a Megxiteer found horrible tweets she had written about Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge.

She wrote about how “thin” Catherine was and how she needed to eat a sandwich. We’ll be honest here and say we’ve never read her stuff, but we have seen what other people have said about her [Ellie]. The article we mentioned earlier was by Raheem J. Kassam of the National Pulse. He discussed that Ellie had doctored a quote given while asking about the pro-Trump bus seen during a rally by Congressman Matt Gaetz.

The bus had the Queen’s face on it for some weird reason. Anyway, Buzzfeed reported that Buckingham Palace asked them to remove it. Now, we don’t know if this is accurate. But, given that Ellie has a history of fudging the truth, it’s likely that they didn’t know about Her Majesty’s face being on the bus.

Anyway, we’re not going to add the quote that Ellie doctored as you can check it out in the link above. Now, anyone who tells The Duchess of Cambridge to “go eat a sandwich” needs to think about how that comment would come to affect them. After all, no matter what you say online, someone is going to keep a record of what you’ve said. This is the whole reason screenshots exist.

Ellie Is One Of Many

There are those like Ellie who refuse to back down from their comments. For example, a recent story came out from Hollywood Unlocked, which claimed that The Queen was dead. The guy who runs the site refuses to back down and believes Her Majesty is deceased. Now, why would the site, which claims not to print lies, double down when accurate sources have said the “news” is fake?

Creditability and pride. Just because you get one accurate story doesn’t mean you’re accurate one-hundred percent of the time. Everyone gets things wrong. It’s human. However, it’s humiliating when the facts are staring you in the face.
