Andrew Morton

Andrew Morton, the journalist behind the best-selling Diana biography has debunked Meghan Markle’s claim that she didn’t live a normal life as a royal…

And there goes another claim out the window! Andrew Morton, the journalist behind the best-selling biography Diana: Her True Story has debunked Meghan Markle’s claim that she didn’t leave home for four months when she was a working member of the royal family. The Daily Mail reports that the Duchess of Sussex lead a very normal life while she was a working royal.

The article even has photos of the Duchess wearing gumboots and carrying shopping bags while out and about. Andrew Morton has said that he has been told that Meghan would go out and see her friends and go on dinner dates with husband, Prince Harry all the time. He even compared what she was saying to what Princess Diana went through.

He said the following while speaking on the Royally Obsessed Podcast according to The Daily Mail:

When I was watching the interview, I was ticking off ‘yes, sense of isolation’, ‘yes, sense of desperation’ exactly what Diana was saying to me. But then again, well, friends of mine said they’ve seen Meghan walking from Whole Foods supermarket on Kensington High Street with bags of foods back to Kensington Palace. It didn’t seem too much like a prison. Other friends have seen her out and about with friends at restaurants, so she seems, to me, to have led a normal life.

Hmm… interesting. Andrew Morton makes the comments after also made the claim that the palace took away her driver’s licence, passport and her keys. She was basically insinuating that living at the palace was like that of a prison. This is what the journalist mentions in the article.

Debunking…

We’ve done a load of debunking in the last few weeks. Please bear in mind that the article titles given below differ from they’re actually called:

  • Sorry, But Harry and Meghan were not married three days before their wedding
  • Meghan didn’t know anything about the royal family before she met Harry
  • The Hits Keep On Coming…

There is a few more coming soon…
