Welcome back to the USS Enterprise, folks. We have a new face onboard. Please make welcome Commander Pelia. She’s a Lanthanite, a species that lives a very long time. Like very long. Not forever, though. She will be accompanying us as we explore strange new worlds.
A friend of Lieutenant Spock’s mother, Amanda Grayson, Pelia, is the perfect choice for the role of chief engineer. She, of course, could never replace Hemmer, but she will be a fine addition to our crew. She also understands the Vulcan way of life and is more than willing to stand up to one when necessary. P.S. Your mother would be proud, Mister Spock.
Pelia, Strange New Worlds And Her Love Of… Blood Wine?
Pelia is overly fond of the blood wine drunk by the Klingons. She is also horribly transparent when she’s drunk. However, she is bitter about it and can see through any plan she overhears. In addition to being a terrific candidate for Chief Engineer, she was also an instructor at Starfleet Academy and once served in Operational Support Services as a chief fleet inspector. All this comes before she decided to join us here on the USS Enterprise.
For all we know, she could be a mother figure to all our young officers and Bridge crew. Of course, she can always allow some of her wisdom to pass to our large team. Perhaps, she might mention some of her time being a friend to Amanda.
To Pelia, if you’re listening, welcome to the USS Enterprise and enjoy your stay.
