How awesome would having Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as your dad be? Simone Johnson knows the answer to that as she follows in his footsteps.
If you’re familiar with celebrity culture, you often think of acting dynasties like the Eastwoods, the Fondas or the Pecks, but what about the Johnsons? Well, it appears that Simone Johnson, the eldest daughter of actor and former wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, is following in her dad’s footsteps.
Simone, who is also the great-granddaughter and granddaughter of wrestling royalty, recently signed a contract with WWE with the full support of her father.
This announcement comes after the sudden death of Simone’s grandfather, Rocky Johnson, the father of Dwayne.
The Rock has always supported his daughter’s passion for wrestling, as he stated in 2018 on Good Morning America:
“I love the idea. We had this big conversation, she came with me to Hong Kong [and] Beijing. I said, ‘Honey, whatever your passion is, I support that.’ And wrestling was good to me, I started my career in Madison Square Garden. So, yeah, bring it on, she’s going to be a champ.”
Simone is The Rock’s only child with business partner and ex-wife Dany Garcia and is the older sister to the actor’s two youngest daughters, Jasmine and Tiana, with second wife, Lauren.
Dwayne congratulated his daughter on her newest career move by posting this photo to Instagram:

Simone, in turn posted her WWE debut announcement:
We couldn’t be happier for Simone, and we cannot wait to see her honouring her family. Congrats! Your grandfather and great-grandfather would be so proud that you’re following them into wrestling. Your dad is a great support, and we wish Simone the best in her wrestling career. Who knows, she might become an actor years down the line.
