Coffee Spotlight: Fix at 50

Fix at 50

Small and out of the way, Fix at 50 is a hidden paradise…

I don’t normally catch an early train, but I thought I would today. Despite the terrible weather. So much for sunny days, am I right, people? Anyway, onto the reason we’re here. My coffee today was from Fix at 50, a small café not far from the Startup Hub.

I was going to go down to the MET Centre and remembered there were coffee places closer to where I was. Plus, there was no way, I was going to carry my 10kg backpack down a hill in terrible weather. Also, I found an entrance to the MET Centre, so I don’t need to go down the road.

My cappuccino from Fix at 50 was actually sweet and I mean that literally. I ordered it with sugar which isn’t something I normally do when I’m out and about. I’ll only get sugar at Coffee Gossip back home in Narellan, but I felt I needed that extra lift.

There’s a lot to do today and I need to be able to stay awake.  I’ve got intern work to do, and when I’ve got a free moment, I need to get an article up on Dork Side.

The coffee tastes amazing and the staff were so friendly. Upon the second I walked into the building, the girl called me over to order. Like most places, the coffee was $3.50. There was no extra charge for the sugar which is a great deal. Though, I don’t know any coffee place to charge for sugar. I had regular milk which is fine. I’m trying to save money so I didn’t want to pay another $0.50 for different milk. I did have slight tummy grumbles.

What’s amazing about Fix at 50 is its out of the way and you wouldn’t know it was there unless you knew where to look. They even a happy hour (for coffee) between 2pm-3pm where you can get $2 coffee and I think a bacon and egg roll. I only had a brief look at the sign outside the café. If I get a chance later, I’ll take another look.

Would I get coffee from Fix at 50 again? I definitely would. Though, I would get different milk. I would also love to try out their happy hour. It would a great add to the food section of the blog. I rate Fix at 50 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of five stars. I would give it a 5 if the coffee and/or the milk didn’t play hockey with my tummy. It also has cute coffee cups!
