There’s a new rumour floating around that there might be more to Yelena Belova than originally thought when she makes her MCU debut in this year’s Black Widow…
With Black Widow delayed due to the coronavirus, it hasn’t stopped people from speculating about what the post-credit scenes will be. Now, we need to caution that we’re not sure how accurate this source is, which is why we’ve marked this article as a rumour. The Twitter account @MCU_Source alleges that the Scarlett Johansson led spy thriller will feature two post-credit scenes with one featuring Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova.
The Scenes
The first scene is reported to be of Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton standing at Natasha’s grave, grieving her death. However, if this scene is real, it will take place in present day MCU so in 2023 or 2024.
However, it’s the second reported scene we’re here to discuss.
The second post-credit scene will allegedly reveal that Yelena has been working with Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. Black Widow villain Taskmaster is reportedly to be in the scene too and working under Secretary Ross. Though, it’s not clear when this scene takes place.
Our Opinion
Do we think these post-credit scene descriptions are real? Well, given that the Twitter account for MCU Source has over 4k followers, we can’t say yes, but we can’t say no either. We would advise caution given we don’t know how accurate this source is. Take everything in this post with the grain of salt. We’re not sure if we believe it either.
In conclusion, only time will tell if these are the actual post-credit scenes of the film. We won’t know until the film is released which hopefully will be soon.
Black Widow was originally meant to be released on May 1 in the United States and early May for other countries. There is currently is no revised release date for the film.
