Birds of Prey

Have you ever wondered what happens when Harley Quinn ditches her puddin’ the Joker and joins forces with a bunch of super ladies? Let’s applaud for the Birds of Prey!

Coming 2020, Margo Robbie returns as Harley Quinn, the lover of the Joker and the co-accused of killing Jason Todd. In the Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), we see the former member of the Suicide Squad team up with a bunch of lady heroes.

The reason?

Black Mask is causing havoc! We’ll finally get to see live-action versions of Black Canary, Cassandra Cain, and the Huntress. How bad can that be? Harley wasn’t necessarily bad, but she wasn’t good. Perhaps she’s found her calling as an anti-hero? Whatever happens, we’re onboard. It’s going to be one hell (no pun intended) of a ride!

Harley Quinn as a good lady fighting crime? Yes, please! A female director, writer, and producers? Yes, please! Will we see Batgirl? Who knows? Babs was a member of the Birds of Prey at some point in the comics. This is likely an early version of the group. After all, Batgirl is getting her own film.

How brutal will the film be? Will Harley use her baseball bat to maim someone? Will Huntress shoot Black Mask’s men with her crossbow? Hopefully! Fortunately, we’ll need to wait until early 2020 to find out exactly what our new fave heroines will do!

As Harley said in Suicide Squad:

We’re bad guys. It’s what we do!

Okay, well this only applies to her. Not to her future squad. Can we call them a squad? Why not? They’ll be a team nonetheless. We’re excited to see how this plays out.

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) soars into cinemas February 2020
